Our babies are our future. We hold them dear and want the best for them. But some are dying at alarming rates before the age of one from preventable deaths.
From 2010 to 2021 in Wayne County alone, 578 infants died due to sleep-related deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Case Registry, Michigan Public Health Institute. During this same time frame, there were 1,755 sleep-related deaths statewide.
We are looking for faith leaders who can be part of the solution. Learn how you can support parents in your community and ensure their babies rest safely.
